Prozessingenieur/Process engineer wanted for Early-stage tech startup - from waste to value

HEAD OF ENGINEERING IN R&D (m/w/d)

YOUR ROLE We are looking for a hands-on innovator who can take an idea from the lab to a valuable and sustainable process and takes the company to the next level together with our four founders. As an early joiner, you have immediate impact on the company’s vision, investment strategy and operations - building the foundation of further expansion in the enterprise chemical waste market.

Responsibilities

• Together with the team, you will be responsible for the successful transfer of an electrochemical process into a container plant
• You will accompany the project from the process idea to construction and operation
•. With your expertise you support the further development of a process concept and are responsible for the design of thermal processes.
• You are also responsible for the design of thermal separation processes (rectification, extraction)
• In the project phase you will take over the schedule and budget responsibility, as well as the responsibility for the functionality of the plants
• You will coordinate our engineering partners as well as external contractors and ensure their correct commissioning and invoicing
• You will lead a team of chemists and/or engineers

Requirements

• Completed diploma or master's degree in the field of process-, mechanical- or chemical engineering and at least two years of professional experience, preferably in the chemical industry
• Experience with the transfer of chemical processes to the technical scale
• In-depth knowledge in simulation and design of thermal separation processes e.g. with Aspen
• Experience in project planning of chemical plants is an advantage
• Fluent German and good English skills
