CTO Co-Founder (Technical Co-Founder) wanted for API-first platform + governance engine + n8n workflows + LLM logic for human-first AI teammates

You enjoy building systems from scratch and want to take real ownership. You think API-first, understand how to structure problems, and are curious about AI agents, orchestration and responsible automation. You don’t need to know everything on day one — what matters is that you can learn fast, work pragmatically and make good technical decisions.

You bring experience in one or more of these areas:
backend or full-stack engineering
API design and clean interfaces
workflow engines (e.g., n8n) or automation tools
LLM integration or interest in agentic patterns
security-minded development

As CTO Co-Founder, you will build Yumo’s technical foundation: a secure, API-first platform with a central governance and context layer and workflow orchestration based on n8n. You will integrate LLMs responsibly, develop enterprise interfaces, and define how expert teams collaborate with AI teammates. You shape architecture, engineering culture, and long-term technical decisions — with full ownership from day one.

Your responsibilities:
Design and develop our API-first MVP
Build AI-supported validation for requirements and workflows
Develop a central governance & context layer to ensure responsible AI behaviour
Design agentic workflows and build AI teammates following Yumo’s human-first approach
Orchestrate automation with n8n in a maintainable and transparent way
Implement enterprise integrations, including Jira
Establish secure-by-design foundations (authentication, logging, auditability)
Act as technical sparring partner for early users and design partners

Challenges

Our main challenges are technical and organizational: building an API-first architecture for AI agents, designing a reliable MCP layer, integrating n8n workflows and LLM logic — and proving real value for expert teams early on. Another challenge is selecting the right cofounder (CTO) who shares our vision of human-first AI and wants to build a platform that is both powerful and responsible. Pilots, trust-building and AI Act readiness also play a role as we scale.

Target group

Yumo works with expert teams regulated industries who face strong compliance demands and need productivity gains. They see high potential in AI agents but lack time, structure and clarity to implement their ideas effectively. Yumo helps them move from ideas to responsible, value-creating AI use cases.
