Intro / About me
I am driven by the vision of creating a safe, sustainable, accessible mode of transportation for everyone through automation. In my different roles at Volocopter and German Aerospace Center (DLR) as passionate and innovative leader I served with approx 50/50 split between leadership and technology.
I look for like-minded peers that can help me bring my vision to life through enabling demonstrator projects for safe, economic automation of safety critical embedded functions (e.g. drones, vehicles)

Introduction
My career started in applied research at Fraunhofer in mobile robot soccer and soon led to research in the 3rd dimension at DLR with unmanned aerial vehicles. Deeply immersed in technical work (especially full stack development, verification and validation), I turned ideas from white-board into full-scale flight tests, often using a software-defined approach to leverage its flexibility and tight integration. At Volocopter I achieved a wide range of break through milestones towards certifiable safety critical functions in various projects, which I acquired funding worth over 30m€, and managed them to successful implementation and public demonstrations. Of course, I couldn’t have achieved all of this without my great teams, who I built from the ground up, empowered to strengthen their field of expertise and developed their role.
Autonomy is a necessary condition for sustainable transportation networks of goods and people at scale. Autonomy isn't the problem, it's part of the solution!
