Our Story
comuneo's founder Katharina wanted to find a lever to drive sustainable development so she pursued a PhD in political sciences to research political innovations for sustainable development. Coming across New Zealand's Wellbeing dashboard, measuring more than 60 social, ecological and economic indicators and seeing how the government built their household or Wellbeing Budget on the data, Katharina got inspired to make this type of evidence-based decision-making possible for all public administrations. Since then, a lot has happened. We have built our MVP, found another co-founder, received a public grant that gives us a runway of 15 months and have convinced the first municipalities to work with us.
