Target group

EQLC is a startup that is focused on serving generations Y and Z.
These generations are known for their use of technology and social media, as well as their desire for convenience, flexibility, and personalized experiences. They are also characterized as being more diverse, inclusive, and socially conscious than previous generations.

Challenges

We offer gender-neutral products, which is a relatively new and innovative concept in the market. While there is a growing demand for gender-neutral products, there are still many challenges that we may face in marketing our products. One challenge is the lack of awareness or understanding among some consumers about what gender-neutral products are and why they are important.
We also may need to carefully consider our messaging and branding to ensure that we are inclusive and non-offensive to all consumers.

Our Story

We came to the realization that the shaving industry was outdated and perpetuated gender stereotypes through our own personal experiences with razors. We noticed that men's razors were typically marketed as tough and strong, with dark colours like black and blue, while women's razors were marketed as delicate and feminine, with bright colours like pink and purple and designs like butterflies. Furthermore, we realized that this gender-based marketing was unnecessary and limited the options available to consumers, particularly those who did not conform to traditional gender roles or preferences. We also noted that many razors on the market were overpriced and did not provide a high-quality shaving experience. To address these issues, we decided to create a new type of razor that was gender-neutral in design and offers superior performance at a more affordable price point.
