Unser Angebot
mAIq is building the AI operating system for legal services—an full-stack platform that automates 40%+ of legal work and delivers it as a managed service. We're not selling software to change-averse law firms; we're replacing them with a tech-enabled model that's 30% cheaper and 10x faster. Our proprietary workflows, self-learning AI core, and vertical integration create a defensible moat in a €90B market. We're building the infrastructure layer for AI-native legal services.
Zielgruppe
B2B clients: Mid-market companies (€100-500M revenue) with small in-house legal teams (2-5 people) who currently spend €200-300K/year on external counsel for routine legal work (contracts, compliance, IP, labor law). Our beachhead: 10,000 German companies who need predictable costs, faster turnaround, and dedicated support. We deliver this via AI-powered managed service.
Secondary audience: Innovative lawyers who want to work with cutting-edge AI instead of being constrained by the billable hour.
Herausforderungen
Building production AI for complex, unstructured legal workflows with enterprise-grade security.
Business: Proving our managed service model, building trust with corporate clients, and scaling from design partners to 50+ paying customers in Year 1.
Talent: Recruiting top technical and legal talent.
Unsere Story
As someone who observed the market, spoke to 30+ big law firms and corporates about this recently, I know the technology is there, but most are not ready for it. So I want to build this up myself. With a PhD in Computer Science, and two successful legal tech and AI workflow SaaS products build, I know we can build the solution. My co-founder Linda and I led the development of Velaro, an award-winning AI compliance platform, and learned two critical lessons: (1) the tech works—AI can automate 40%+ of legal work, and even more of non-legal preparatory work still done by lawyers and (2) selling tools to law firms doesn't work—they won't adopt them due to the innovator's dilemma.
The answer? Build the entire stack: the AI operating system AND the service delivery model. That's mAIq. We're not selling software to change-averse firms; we're delivering automated legal services as a managed service—30% cheaper, 10x faster, and with a defensible moat through vertical integration.
We have the domain expertise and the track record. Now we need the right technical co-founder to build the infrastructure that will transform a €90B industry (B2B market for legal services in DE, FR, ES, UK).
