Challenges
There are several approaches of startups of building an Airborne Wind Energy System. Most of the concepts are tether-generating ground based systems.
Our system will be LTA (Lighter-than-the-air) and stationary in the sky. The rotor energy will be transmitted with a rope drive to the ground.
Several approaches of AWES have failed in the past. The lessons learned will be valuable for our project pf building a working prototyp.
